We are always looking for exceptional investigative journalists, data analysts, researchers, developers, fact-checkers and translators who are passionate about exposing corruption in European politics.
ECIJ is a small but growing team with a big ambition: to become the leading collaborative hub for political accountability journalism across the continent.
Current / recurring opportunities include:
– Freelance reporters for specific cross-border projects
– Data & OSINT researchers (experience with leaks, public records, company registries)
– Secure communications & tech specialists
– Translators / editors (multiple EU languages)
– Trainees / junior investigators (paid positions when funding allows)
We value diversity of backgrounds, languages, and lived experience. Journalists from Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, as well as underrepresented groups, are especially encouraged to get in touch.
